Principal Poker Platform Lead

We are hiring a Principal Poker Platform Lead to act as the primary driver of the next-generation Poker roadmap. This role is more senior in scope and remit than standard delivery or operations roles, with broader responsibility across technical initiatives, external stakeholders, and decision support.

Sitting at the intersection of high-level business vision and complex technical execution, this role serves as a partner. You will act as a formal technical delegate for the Head of Poker, authorized to enforce product guardrails and strategic priorities in technical forums where you will be the "voice of the business".

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Roadmap Orchestration Act as the single point of coordination and delivery accountability for future poker versions, driving initiatives from abstract intent through to high-fidelity technical delivery.

• Commercial Guardrails Act as the final business signatory for all technical specifications, ensuring that dev-side "optimizations" never compromise the poker economy via rake integrity, ecology impact, or player liquidity.

• Veto Authority Authorized to halt or re-prioritize technical releases that do not meet the "Definition of Ready" or align with the immediate commercial roadmap.

• Technical Governance & Pushback Challenge technical assumptions and push back constructively on specifications from various entities where scope, timing, or execution risk could negatively impact player experience or network performance.

• Operational Framework Engineering Identify process weaknesses in the dev-to-business loop and design practical improvements to ensure faster, more accurate software releases.

• Incident Authority Act as the Lead Business Responder for poker-related outages; authorized to make high-pressure "Rollback vs. Fix" decisions to protect the P&L and network reputation.

• Cross-Functional Technical Hub Represent poker perspectives in technical discussions with Commercial, Dev, and Service Management teams, synthesizing complex inputs into structured recommendations for leadership.

• Platform Health Ownership Provide leadership with clear insights, recommendations, and "Product Health" reporting, ensuring technical risks are surfaced early rather than late.

• Technical "Figurehead" Leadership Serve as a trusted technical representative who ensures business logic is never lost in translation during the development lifecycle. Change Management Own the change management process ensuring that communication, downtimes, rollback plans and other requirements are executed in a manner that best serves operational and commercial interests.

• Complex Platform Experience Experience working with complex platform environments (poker networks, gaming platforms, marketplaces, or multi-stakeholder ecosystems) where technical delivery requires coordination across multiple independent teams.

• Technical Influence Demonstrated ability to influence separate technical entities without direct authority, operating as a trusted representative in cross-functional settings.
